MSP / Partner access
This is where you set up the IT service provider who looks after your environment (an MSP) to work in your Clarios environment, using their own account, with no extra user account on your side. It runs on a partnership: the connection between a customer and their IT provider. The customer invites; the provider confirms.
What can you do here?
There are two pages, one for each role:
- 🛡️ For customer admins: Invite and manage an MSP. On the Partner access page you invite your IT provider, see where the partnership stands, toggle auto-renew, block individual people from the provider if needed, and use Audit to see what the provider did in your environment.
- 🤝 For users at the IT service provider (MSP): My customers. On the My customers page you accept or decline invitations, see your customers, and switch into a customer’s environment.
Good to know
- The customer is in control. Only the customer invites, and only the customer can end the access again (Revoke). The provider cannot extend or restore their own access.
- Access is time-limited. A partnership lasts 90 days. With auto-renew it extends automatically while it is being used; without it, it ends after 90 days.
- Block individual people. Even when the whole provider is allowed in, the customer can block a single person from the provider (Block user) while everyone else keeps working.
- Everything is traceable. Every action in your environment is tied to the real person at the provider and recorded in the Audit log.
🚧 Planned, not yet available everywhere. Actually switching into a customer’s environment (“acting as”) is behind a feature switch and may still be missing for you. Inviting, accepting, and managing always work; switching in does not, everywhere. More on this on My customers.
