Fix a security issue
A check has failed and you want to put it right. For some checks, Clarios does it for you: one click on Fix starts the correction, so you don’t have to do the step yourself in Microsoft 365.
👤 You need Writer or Admin rights for this. Your environment also needs Write access granted (Write consent).
ℹ️ Note: The Fix button only appears for checks that support it. Other checks have no Fix button.
Step by step
- Open the Security Insights overview and go to the Security Controls list. You can filter the Actions column by Fix Available to see only fixable checks.
- In the check’s row, click the Fix button.
✅ Done. “Thank you! The fix is now in progress and will be completed shortly.” appears. The button is then briefly locked, because the correction is already running.

Good to know
- The result doesn’t appear right away. Clarios processes the correction in the background and shows the new state only with the next check, which runs every 24 hours (“We already received the request to fix it. Clarios will reflect the current status with the next check (every 24h)”).
- Don’t want to wait? Click Sync now on the overview to check again straight away, so the Data as of timestamp is current.
- The Fix button is greyed out? The tooltip says why. Usually either a correction has already been requested (then wait or use Sync now), or you’re missing Writer/ Admin rights or Write access for your environment. You grant Write access from Settings; your IT assigns the rights in Microsoft Entra.
